Polite Questions

This is a short and simple worksheet that helps students understand and formulate polite questions with the two different structures of “do you mind…?”  (“Do you mind opening the window” vs “Do you mind if I open the window?“). The lesson starts with an explanation of the two different structures, and then asks the students to rephrase “Could” questions with one of the two structures. After that the students are given a series of hypothetical situations and asked to construct their own questions in response to the situations. Finally, the students are asked to make their  own “do you mind” questions.
