The Original Ice Challenge

This video-based lesson is about the true story of when an insulation company transported 3000 kilograms of ice from the arctic circle to the equator (without refrigeration or air-transport). It will be perfect for a B1-B2 class looking for an interesting lesson.

The worksheet starts with an introduction of the story, then asks the students to make predictions about the result of the journey. After that the students will be provided with some vocabulary they will need to understand the video, and then the video component begins. The class will watch the first half of the video, answer questions, and then watch the second half and answer some more questions.

This worksheet will work well with any B1+ class, but would be particularly well-suited for a class interested in history or engineering.
